Pp lii, 104 + 6 Full page engraved woodcuts + The 4 Seasons vignette woodcuts, very good. Original full calf gilt. The Farmer's Boy, was written in a garret in Bell Alley. The manuscript was declined by several publishers,until it fell into the hands of Capel Lofft, who arranged for its publication with woodcuts by Thomas Bewick in 1800 .
