Pp. vi. 326 + Engraved vignette title, foxed. Elaborate blind stamped designed covers. Raised spine bands with blind stamped panels, gilt lettered title panel. Gauffred edges, (gilt impressed design), some rubbing to the edges. She was born Felicia Dorothea Browne in Liverpool, a granddaughter of the Venetian consul in that city. She became a well-known literary figure, highly regarded by contemporaries such as Wordsworth and Percy Bysshe Shelley, and with a popular following in the United States. When she died, Wordsworth and Walter Savage Landor composed memorial verses in her honour.
