Description
Original lithographic print, nicks to edges, not affecting the engraved image. Plas Newydd was the home of Lady Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby (The Ladies of Llangollen) from 1780 to 1831. They became associated with fashionable intellectual trends of the time and lived ?in retreat? from the world. They gothicised their home, incorporating a jigsaw of oak carvings and added stained glass windows. To see more images go to:- [View Bookseller's Homepage] .
