Original hand-coloured engraved lithograph by G Childs. Printed by Miguire & Lemercier & Co. Pembroke Castle is a Norman stronghold dating to the time of William the Conqueror, most of the present castle dates from the 13th century. The castle is probably most closely associated with two strong Welsh Marcher Lords, Richard de Clare and William Marshal. Pembroke is also famous as the birthplace of Henry Tudor, later King Henry VII.
