EACH TEXT PAGE INTERLEAVED with BLANK PAGES, sizes 10 x 14 1/2 ins, (watermarked 1818.) + 35 engraved plates (as listed) + (approx) 40 Extra-engraved plates, taken from Aikin's Manchester, Campbell's Vitruvius Britannicus, Walpoole's British Traveller etc, slight foxing. Modern Buckram. Lyson's Magna Britannia was published between 1806 -22 in 6 volumes, the intention was to write the history of every county in England, unfortunately only about 10 counties were completed. Cheshire being one of them.
