Description
Original copper engraved sea chart, engraved by N, Hill, damage repaired on the back of chart. Morris's marine survey of the Welsh coast, undertaken with very little official support, was a supreme pioneering achievement, especially for a self-taught hydrographer. It is for this marine survey that he is now recognized as one of the most eminent of British cartographers.
