Taken by John Dillwyn Llewelyn of Penllergare, Swansea, Wales. This image was taken using the oxymel process which John Dillwyn Llewelyn devised in 1856, whereby coating the collodion plates with a mixture of honey and ascetic acid allowed for their preparation beforehand.
